The Client Account Site (hereafter referred to as CAS) is a modular addition to our web site that provides a portal between our clients and their projects.  Clicks can log into the CAS at any time of the day or night and view up to the minute statistics on whom is performing what work on their behalf, as well as viewing their project information, invoices, timesheets, work transactions and contact details.

The layout, formatting and style of the site is the same as that of our main site for consistency.

To provide security and to identify the client, they are required to log on before being allowed to access any information held in the backend database.

The Account homepage provides a series of links to common tasks and information, using real world examples to guide the client.  As with the main site, the side navigation bar is used to navigate the CAS.

Clients' are able to view information on their projects in a condensed tabular format, with all cross-linked information available at the click of a mouse.  It is easy to view any information you would need from each section in this way.

If a client has an outstanding invoice on their account, they can settle it online with just a few simple steps.  Figure 4 shows the invoice summary page for a settled invoice, and clicking on the appropriate information on this page will take the user to the project summary, the payment history, or to view detailed information on exactly what work they have been billed for - what, when, why and by whom.

Should the client need assistance performing a task or understanding the terminology used for billing projects, online help is always just one click away and provides answers to all commonly asked questions and scenarios, as well as tips and hints on using the CAS more effectively.

 

The Client Account Site is a complex mix of thousands of lines of code and business logic that uses the Internet to bridge the gap between our employees and our clients, that cuts down wasteful communications and can be accessed 24 hours a day
